Army General David Petraeus, head of U.S. Central Command, is the president’s pick to replace McChrystal.
Sources say Patraeus, will step down from Central Command.
His appointment has to be confirmed by the Senate.

Unsure that Obama should have canned General McChrystal. What will this do to the midterm election?
