SANTA BARBARA – 8:30 pm – The fight over the public’s access to the personnel files of Santa Barbara Franciscan priests in the sex abuse scandal, returns to court this week.

The case will be heard Friday, July 30, in the 2nd District Court of Appeal in Los Angeles.

It’s been four years since the despicable acts at St. Anthony’s Seminary, from 1964 to 1987, captured the media’s attention.

Part of the reason it’s fallen off the radar is that two dozen victims reached a multi-million dollar settlement with the church.

The other, and perhaps, more disturbing reason, is the Franciscans’ determination fight access to the records.

Santa Barbara attorney Tim Hale represents victims.

Hale told THESBNN.COM if the judge rules in favor of the public’s right to know, again, it would be precedent-setting.

But it is a ruling that will likely mean more attempts by the priests to keep the information sealed, in a battle that’s been hard fought on both sides.

(Clarification July 26, 2010 10:10 am: Judge Peter Lichtman will not hear this case as originally reported.  While possible, Hale says, it is unlikely this case will go to the U.S. Supreme Court.)

I hope most people know that most religious communities are not affected by the any norms that bishops put forward in 2002. They did not agree to be accountable or transparent.

The judge should return in favor of the public’s right to know especially since it is the public’s safety has been violated.

The records of known sexual predators should not be sealed.

Whether the priest is a thief or a pedophile, you can’t “do” either without the “dough”. THEY HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF * THEMSELVES in case the “rubber hits the road,” as it seems to have, “hit” all over the Roman Catholic World. Thanks be to God that it has finally “Hit”.They are *Narcisists!.of the worst kind ,

Because they all claim to be representatives of Jesus Christ here on earth. That’s why their clever deal is to get you to confess your sins to them rather than go directly to God Almighty. That’s what they do to each other. “Whoppee no more sin!

The Devil comes to seek out and destroy! He comes as a roaring lion and as docile as a lamb.

Beware People, he is out there to get you and me.We are awaking and …We will Get him.!!!How, you say? By loving our God more than a lieing institution of evil.!!Get out while you still have your soul!!.

If the right thing is not done by this court it will have to go to the supreme court.

This has been going on since the inception of the RCC.

St. Paul warned the new Christians to not listen to a gospel that wasn’t the Gospel of Jesus Christ . He said there were infiltraitors in their small groups trying to do that very thing. He said , “even if they come to you as angels ,do not listen to them”

It was their downfall if they listened and they did. Thus we have this FAUX Church, that has done such hideious things to God’s people over millenium(s) .

Christ’s Holy Word will never change but this evil place will end! A death it deserves!
