Man confesses in stabbing death of girlfriend, Oxnard police say

OXNARD -A 46-year-old Oxnard man is in custody after confessing  to killing his girlfriend, according to  Oxnard police.

Eduardo Enrique Ventura has been booked on a murder charge.

Officers responded to reports of a female screaming on the 1800 block of Valley Park Drive about 9:30 Wednesday night.

They found 45-year-old Francisca Herrera Sufle lying in the alley suffering from multiple stab wounds.

She died at the scene.

Ventura told police the two were involved in a relationship and were arguing when he stabbed her.
